Happidrome One will showcase the work of five emerging and mid-career artists in a disused World War Two building on the national nature reserve at Goonhilly Downs on the Lizard Peninsula, Cornwall, delivered with the support of Natural England. Work by artists, Elizabeth Masterton, Alison Sharkey, Sara Bowler, Paul Ridout and Steven Paige, will include sculpture, video, sound and drawing, alongside several participatory pieces. The event will take place over two weekends, opening on 7 July and closing on the15th, with a mid week public lecture evening proposed at BT’s Earth Satellite Station for local specialists to make presentations on subjects such as archaeology, ecology and history.
